Summer Fun!

Well, July has been very fun and extremely busy. I have had such fun times with many of my girlfriends this month and also family. Let's recap some of the fun things that went on in July....

1) I had a great girl day with my friend Alicia! We went to Seasons 52 for lunch and then to the Woodhouse Day Spa for some spa treatments. It was so hot that we actually turned down the outside seating on the lake. Instead we opted for a window seat. It was a great day and the massage I got made me forget about being pregnant in the midst of a Florida summer. Let me just say this - Kenya at the Woodhouse Day Spa gives the best massages!! I highly recommend her.  Alicia had a nice facial and then we parted ways. I wanted to keep the girl day going because we were having so much fun! Alicia is one of those genuine people that has a heart of gold and I am so glad that we have become closer over the last 2 years. I can't wait to have more girl days with her or even double dates too! Todd and I really enjoy hanging out with her and Dave. (her husband)

2) My other dear friend Kim and I have had a blast this summer. We try and take daily 2 hour walks in the mornings or afternoons to catch up with each other and I get to see her beautiful daughter Kayla while she takes her nap and her mommy and I chat it up for hours.  I just love this little girl and call her my niece.  The nice thing is that Kim lives in the same neighborhood as me, so we just text and say "leave your house and start walking" and we just meet up for our walk. We also spent the 4th of July with them at their house for a BBQ and enjoyed grilling out and just relaxing.  Kim is a very special friend to me - we have known each other since we are 9 years old and she is one of the most loyal friends and would do anything for me. (and visa versa) I can't say enough good things about her!!

3) Todd and I really enjoyed our visit with his Aunt Cathy and Uncle Mike. They were in town (they live in Pensacola) looking at a sailboat to purchase, so we were able to meet up with them for Sunday dinner.  It was nice to catch up with them and hear all about what they have been up to and hear how Todd's cousins are doing. Actually, his cousin Sean is expecting their 2nd child 3 weeks before Ethan is due. Very close due dates!  At the end of the visit, we got a nice surprise. In their trunk was a bin full of baby clothes for Ethan from Todd's mom. That was so nice of her! Between my mom buying clothes every week and Todd's mom sending us that package, I don't think we will need any more baby clothes. He will be set for a long time. The only thing I think I want to go out and purchase are some more of  those sleep sacks. She also purchased this timer which I thought I was neat - it can track breastfeedings, diaper changes, naps, etc. They had to get back on the road so they could get back home and we enjoyed every second of our visit.  Love you guys!! We always cherish any visits with them.

4) I went and visited my friend McKenzie and I got to see her new baby boy! He was born about 7 weeks ago and his name is Max and he is just such a cutie pie! Todd and I really enjoy hanging out with McKenzie and Marc. They are a really fun couple and we just can't get enough of them. They are the M&M family. Mckenzie is mom, Marc is dad, daughter is Macie, and new baby boy is Max. How cute!! McKenzie and I have been friends for 8 years now and she is just my cup of tea!! I look forward to our visits because we always have a good time and she is very dear to me.

4) I met with my another friend from college for lunch. Her name is Melanie and she is just a sweetheart. We were both Tri-Deltas in college and have stayed in touch since then. It is always good to catch up with her and we can just talk for hours catching up on latest details of what is going on in our lives. She is so sincere and just such a good person.

I treasure all these different moments with family and friends. Todd and I are blessed to have such wonderful families and friends. I wish I had my camera for half of the things!! I have been forgetting that my camera is in my purse and when I do remember the pictures are all coming out with the eyes closed because of the summer sun! I have like 10 pictures where someone's eyes are closed. July in Florida is brutal!!

Currently, I am 25 weeks pregnant and trying to stay indoors when possible! Nothing really too new with the pregnancy to report. The doctor says that I am measuring right on target for 25 weeks and in 3 more weeks, I go in for the glucose sugar test. Wish me luck!! We are doing a maternity shoot in a week or so, so stay tuned for those pictures!
