Peanut can now be called a boy!

On Wednesday, May 16th 2012, Todd and I found out we are having a baby boy!! We have been so fondly calling it our little peanut. Even though we know the gender now, I have a feeling we will still be calling him peanut. :) At this appointment, I was 16.5 weeks pregnant. When we went in for the ultrasound, I thought the sonogram technician was going to say "Are you ready to know the gender?" Or, "Well, I know what it is....." It happenned like this - she put the gel on my stomach and then literally 5 seconds later she said "It's a boy." So nonchalantly, like we were ordering a side salad with a meal. Todd and I were like "It's a boy??!!!" She then continued to say that she was 100% positive because his legs were wide open and showed us his man parts. So many emotions flood through you and it was just a moment that I know we won't forget. We are so thrilled and excited. Todd is on cloud nine and just can't even wait for all the sports to begin. Mommy will be cheering from the sidelines! After our appointment, we went to Seasons 52 (one of our favorite restaurants) and had a nice lunch sitting outside. Of course, Mommy, the type A planner, already had the Restoration Hardware catalog at lunch to look at boy bedding. :)

We have already decided of a name. His name will be Ethan James. It is a very special name. Todd's brother, who has passed, was named James.  It is very sentimental to both of us for this little boy to be born.
