First order of business - need a cool Mommy car

I have to admit - when we first talked about getting a new car to accommodate baby Ethan and all his "stuff" that would have to go into a trunk, I was hesitant. The reason why is because getting an SUV is like saying "I am officially middle aged and not cool anymore." haha. I know that sounds crazy, but isn't blogging all about being honest and writing down your true feelings? I liked the car I had and it was a very spacious 4 door. People have kids every day and don't have to get an SUV. However, the timing was impeccable because when Ethan is born, I will have had my car almost 10 years. It is actually time to get a new car. Todd and I talked about how smart we have been with keeping our cars for a long time and we definitely needed to buy something.

Okay, so on to the next discussion. What kind of SUV would I get? Well, for starters - no minivans. Not to knock anyone with minivans, but it is just not Todd and I's style.  Secondly, no big SUV's. I am only 5 feet tall and I don't want to "jump" into the car. Thirdly, I wanted to get a sporty looking SUV (think more crossover) and one that was "shorter" so that when I put the baby into the car seat, I can aim down with my arms instead of reaching up. (hope that makes sense.) So, here is the car that fit the bill...

On another note, I think I am going to try and blog twice a week. I am finding that only once a week is not keeping me up to date.  I don't like posting stuff from a while ago. So, my new goal is to blog twice a week. I am thinking Tuesday and Friday. I hope you have enjoyed reading!
